The scope of this Policy includes all Applaud platforms, including mobile applications, desktop applications, and the website. The words "us", "our", or "we" refer to Applaud.

1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: We may collect account information, including your name, username, email address, and profile photo (if provided).
- User Content: We may collect photos, videos, text, and messages shared on Applaud. You retain ownership of all content you share on Applaud.
- User Activity: We may collect information on which features you use and when you use them. We may employ analytics services to improve user experience.
- Support Information: We may collect the information you provide in connection with support requests.
- Technical Information: We may collect your device type, app version, crash reports and diagnostic logs, and IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate and maintain the service.
- Allow you to share content publicly or within groups.
- Provide group and social functionality (comments and messaging).
- Enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
- Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
- Improve the service, including through analytics tools.
- Respond to support requests.
We do not sell your information.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Applaud stores user data on third-party cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed fully secure.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
Your information may be shared with third-party service providers who assist with hosting, storage, and app functionality.
Your information may be shared if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Service and its users.
4. Your Rights and Choices
You may delete your account at any point. When your account is deleted, your account information and User Content will be removed. We may retain limited technical information for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
You may also change personal information through the app.
5. Children's Privacy
Applaud is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
6. International Users
If you use the Service outside of Canada, your data may be processed in Canada or other jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers operate.
